Four to Get More
Simple things you can do to get more out of life!
Eat at least five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables a day.
Or, start today with just increasing the quantity from what you eat now.
Try to cut to cut down on your
total screen time each day.
It is recommended that everyone should limit the amount of computer and TV time they log on a daily basis. Why not make an effort to spend no more than 2 hours a day, or begin to cut down from your current habits.
Be more physically active.
The current recommendation is to spend 30-60 minutes engaged in moderate physical activity every day, or at least 4-5 days a week. Start today to increase the amount of time you are physically active. (If you have been sedentary, or have medical problems, visit your healthcare provider before beginning.)
Decrease the amount of sugary drinks you consume regularly.
Water is an excellent, no calorie beverage, good at just about anytime. Begin to cut back on soda slowly, and see what results!
The best way to change is to start slowly, working on one thing at a time. As your confidence builds, and you begin to feel better, you can add other recom-mendations to your program. If you fall back into the "old" habit, don't give up, but keep working on it. Changing habits is not easy, but can be done, and can be very rewarding. You won't know until you try!
